Max Lippka is a retired fireman who previously owned a gas station and then worked at Chick Iverson's Porsche dealership in the 1960's. He has worked on cars since he was a teen learning about various hot rods and working on his friend's and family's cars. Teaming up with his daughter Sonja's husband Ed Bostwick, they opened "Maxed Performance". Ken Stacey joined the family business when he married Max's youngest daughter Andrea a few years later. Max has since retired, but you might catch him at the shop helping out!

Ed and Ken both started out drag racing Volkswagens when they were teens. Ken worked at his father's gas station and then owned a shop with a friend. He became very knowledgeable with domestic and Japanese cars.

Before Maxed Performance, Ed worked at a few shops that specialized in German cars. He restored and raced Volkswagens in his spare time. Now he loves to fabricate and build off-road cars. He is also the person behind Bostwick Built that makes accessories for Volkswagen Vanagons.
